Mehdi Fard Ghaderi (Persian: مهدی فرد قادری; born 1986) is an Iranian director, screenwriter and producer.[1] He is known for his films Immortality (2016), Weightlessness (2019) and The Annoyed (2023).[2]

Short Films
In 2007 Fard Ghaderi started his career in cinema. For ten years he directed and wrote eight experimental and fiction short films, including the following:
- Alternation (One Shot, 11min, 2007)
- The Life Of Khorshid (18 min, 2009)
- Gramophone (18 min, 2010)
- Reversing Circles (One Shot, 21min, 2011)
- Mirror Narration of Simple Stories (27min, 2013)
- The Story Of A Rainy Night (One Shot, 24min, 2015)
- Autumn Leaves (15min, 2017)

Feature Films
Immortality (2016), his first feature film, was created in a single shot in 145 minutes on a train. This film was nominated for best film at the Rome Film Festival, Munich Film Festival and Transilvania International Film Festival.[3] It was shown at twenty international festivals.[4][5] Immortality won several international prizes, including Best Film at the 16th Ischia Film Festival.[6][7]
Weightlessness[8] (2019) was his second feature film, also using long shots. This film was shown in fifteen international film festival and it has won awards in Europe and North America.
His next feature, The Annoyed (2023), premiered at the 25th Shanghai International Film Festival.[9] The Annoyed was screened in 25 international film festivals, including the St. Louis Film Festival[10] and Kerala Film Festival.[11]
Fard Ghaderi was producer of the film The Son in 2021.[12] This film won prizes at the Moscow Film Festival,[13][14] and was shown at the Rotterdam Film Festival and Valladolid Film Festival.

Other roles
Mehdi Fard Ghaderi has been a jury member at several international film festivals in the United States, Italy, Czech Republic, Russia, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Iran.[15][16]
