Jones earned a PhD from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1997^[2] under Tomaso Poggio.^[3][4]

Career

Jones is the co-inventor, with Paul Viola, of the Viola–Jones face detection method,^[5] an ICCV 2003 Marr Prize^[6] and CVPR Longuet-Higgins Prize^[7] winner.
