Mikayla Pivec (born November 18, 1997) is an American-born professional basketball player. Born in Bellevue, Washington, Pivec graduated from Lynnwood High School in 2016 and played collegiately for the Oregon State University Beavers of the PAC-12 Conference.[1] She was drafted by the Atlanta Dream with the 25th overall pick of the 2020 WNBA draft.[2] In May, with the 2020 WNBA season in jeopardy due to the COVID-19 pandemic in the United States, Pivec opted out of the WNBA season as she focused on rehabilitating an injured foot.[3] On July 13, 2020, it was announced Pivec had signed a season-long contract with Club Deportivo Promete in Logroño, Spain as her first professional stop.[4]
She has played in a number of countries professionally including: Turkey, Spain, Australia, Puerto Rico, and Ireland. She has played for Cadi La Seu in LF Endesa (Spain), Montaneras De Morovis (BSNF Puerto Rico), Bursa Uludag (KBSL-Turkey), Cangrejeras de Santurce & Pollitas de Isabella (Puerto Rico), Casademont Zaragoza (Euroleague), and for the Albury-Wodonga Bandits of the National Basketball League 1 (NBL1) in New South Wales, Australia. Pivec has participated in multiple WNBA training camps including the Minnesota Lynx training camp in 2021 and the Atlanta Dream training camp in 2023. [5]
