Mikhaylovsky District (Russian: Миха́йловский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[5] district (raion), one of the twenty in Amur Oblast, Russia. The area of the district is 3,039 square kilometers (1,173 sq mi).[3] Its administrative center is the rural locality (a selo) of Poyarkovo.[2] Population: 14,850 (2010 Census);[4] 17,081 (2002 Census);[7] 21,113 (1989 Soviet census).[8] The population of Poyarkovo accounts for 46.8% of the district's total population.[4]
