He is a member of the Parti Gagasan Rakyat Sabah (GAGASAN), a component party of the Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) coalition and was a former member of the United Malays National Organisation of Sabah (Sabah UMNO), a component party of the Barisan Nasional (BN) coalition. He was expelled from Sabah UMNO before joining GAGASAN on 21 February 2023.^[1]
