Monica Geuze (born 27 March 1995)[1] is a Dutch television presenter and former vlogger and DJ.[2] She presented the shows Love Island, Temptation Island: Love or Leave and De Bachelorette.[3] Geuze is also a jury member in the television show The Masked Singer.[4][5]

Early career

Geuze appeared in the music video of the song Happy Family of the 2005 album Another Day by the Dutch band Racoon.[6][7] At age 16, she became DJ for rapper Ronnie Flex.[8][9] She released the single Laten Gaan in 2015 in collaboration with Ronnie Flex, Mafe, Frenna, Emms and Abira.[9][10] In 2016, Geuze released the single Nu of nooit in collaboration with Ruben Annink and Jonna Fraser.[10]

Vlogging / YouTube

Geuze published her first vlog about her daily life in August 2014. She published over a thousand videos on her YouTube channel and, as of January 2025, her channel has over 530,000 subscribers. She stopped with vlogging in January 2023.[2][9]

She was also one of the presenters of the YouTube channel Concentrate by RTL.[11][12]

Television / Videoland

In 2019, Geuze presented a season of Love Island which aired on Videoland.[13][14] Geuze and Kaj Gorgels presented the show Temptation Island: Love or Leave which also aired on Videoland.[15][16] In 2023, she presented the show De Bachelorette.[17] In the same year, she became a jury member in the television show The Masked Singer.[4][18] In 2024, Geuze was one of the presenters of the show Boxing Influencers which aired on Videoland.[19][20]

She was nominated for the Televizier-Ring Talent award in 2021, 2023 and 2024.[21][22][23]

Geuze and Valerio Zeno present the show Power Couple in which couples compete against each other.[24][25] In the summer of 2025, she appears in the evening edition of RTL Boulevard, titled RTL Boulevard Summernight.[26]

Television appearances

In 2017, Geuze appeared in the first season of the show Kroongetuige in which contestants have to solve a fictional murder case.[27][28] She was interviewed by Peter van der Vorst in a 2017 episode of Van der Vorst ziet sterren.[29] Geuze appeared in a 2017 episode of the game show Een goed stel hersens and a 2018 episode of the game show De Jongens tegen de Meisjes.

She travelled to Japan to get a tattoo for an episode of the 2018 television show Tattoo Trippers.[30][31] She had the tattoo removed a few years later.[30][32] Geuze appeared in 2018 episodes of the shows Het Jachtseizoen, The Big Music Quiz and Praat Nederlands met me.[33] In 2020, she appeared in the quiz show De slimste mens.[34][35] She appeared in a 2022 episode of the show Fout maar goud, a game show about guilty pleasures.[36][37] Geuze finished in fourth place in the 2022 season of the show The Masked Singer.[38] She was a contestant in the 2023 Halloween season of the show De Verraders.[39][40] She also appeared in a 2023 episode of the show Het Jachtseizoen.[41]

Books

Her autobiography My Way was published in May 2017.[42][43] She also published a photo book titled Unreleased in 2021.[44]

Personal life

Her mother was born in Jakarta, Indonesia and she moved to the Netherlands when she was very young.[45] Geuze was born in Zwijndrecht and she grew up in Hendrik-Ido-Ambacht.[1] Her parents separated when she was 18 years old.[46] She was in a relationship with footballer Lars Veldwijk and they have a daughter together.[2][47] Their daughter was born in July 2018.[48][49] Geuze and Veldwijk split up in November 2019.[47][50] As of 2024, she is in a relationship with footballer James Lawrence.[51][52]
