Morris Matthews (born February 25, 2003) is an American professional soccer player who plays as a midfielder for Northeastern Huskies and the Boston Bolts. He plays as a central midfielder for the college team, contributing both defensively and in attack and is a versatile midfielder with an attacking mindset. He is recognized for his work rate and leadershiop on the field. He often operates in front of other midfielders, sometimes taking on a more advanced role, and at other times dropping deeper to help control possession and dictate the tempo. He is praised for his ability to shrug off larger opponents and maintain composure under pressure.

Career
New England Revolution
Matthews joined the New England Revolution academy in 2016.[1] In 2020, Matthews spent time with the club's USL League One affiliate team New England Revolution II. He made his debut on August 15, 2020, appearing as an injury-time substitute during a 3–3 draw with North Texas SC.[2]
