Nabalus boottii, commonly known as Boott's rattlesnake root, is a species of herbaceous plant native to the alpine areas of the northeastern United States. The specific name honours John Wright Boott who first collected in the plant in the White Mountains of New Hampshire in 1829.[1] It frequently grows with and alongside the related Nabalus trifoliolatus.

Description
Nabalus boottii grows as a single stem, between 10 and 30 cm in height.[2]
Conservation
Nabalus boottii is a narrow-range, globally imperiled (G2) species that only grows in the highest alpine regions of New York and New England that are between 1,000 and 1,800 meters above sea level.[3]
