Neodymium nitrate is an inorganic salt with the formula Nd(NO3)3·(x(H2O) . It is typically encountered as the hexahydrate, Nd(NO3)3·6H2O, which is more accurately formulated as [Nd(NO3)3(H2O)4]·2H2O to reflect the crystal structure. It crystallizes in the triclinic space group P1 with the following cell parameters: a = 9.307(1)°, b = 11.747(1)°, c = 6.776(1)°, α = 91.11(1) Å, β = 112.24(1) Å, γ = 109.15(1) Å.[1] It decomposes to NdONO3 at elevated temperature.[2]
