Release and reception
The series had a limited theatrical release on 24 June 2018 at Sarathi Studios in Hyderabad.[8] The first show showed the last two episodes for free.[8] The tenth episode premiered at the screening.[8]
A critic from Telangana Today wrote that "Nirudyoga Natulu hardly makes you feel that it's a story that has been directed, and not a real life scene".[9] A critic from VoxSpace wrote that "this is a bold and extremely well-thought-out piece of filmmaking that everyone needs to experience" and added that "Though it feels very effortless and almost improvisational, the effort put into it astounding. If you want to understand what attracts people that choose this life and on the flipside what scares people away from this career, please check this out and don’t miss this gem".[10]
The success of the series enabled Jagadeesh Prathap Bandari further film offers including Kesava in the Pushpa film series.[11]
The series was edited into a film in 2020 and uploaded on Mic Tv's YouTube channel.[12]
