Norma Minkowitz

Norma Minkowitz (born 1937, New York City) is an American visual artist, known for fiber art.^[1][2][3] She is known for her crochet sculptures.^[3]

She attended Cooper Union.^[3] In 2003, she became fellow of the American Craft Council.^[4] In 2009, she received the Master of the Medium Award from the James Renwick Alliance.^[5]

Her work is in the Denver Art Museum,^[6] the Metropolitan Museum of Art,^[7] the Minneapolis Institute of Art,^[8] and the Museum of Fine Arts Boston.^[9] Her piece, Goodbye, My Friend, was acquired by the Smithsonian American Art Museum as part of the Renwick Gallery's 50th Anniversary Campaign.^[10][11]
