Norman Findlay

Norman Findlay (1890–1949) was an English professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper in the Football League for Coventry City.^[1][5]

Personal life

Findlay worked as a carpenter in the shipyards.^[3] He served as a corporal in McCrae's Battalion of the Royal Scots during the First World War.^[6] Findlay was not deployed to the Western Front and was released from the army in September 1916 to work in the Newcastle shipyards.^[3][7] He later moved to Isleworth and worked repairing barges on the Thames.^[3]
