The Ordos Sports Centre Stadium is a multi-purpose sports complex in Kangbashi District, Ordos, Inner Mongolia. Opened in 2015, it was built to host the 10th National Traditional Games of Ethnic Minorities and has since become a landmark venue for national and international events. The complex includes a 60,000-seat football stadium, a 12,000-seat indoor arena, and a 4,000-seat natatorium, covering 340,000 m2. It is known for its golden saddle-shaped roof, inspired by Mongolian equestrian culture.[1]

Design and architecture

The stadium's design pays homage to the golden saddle, a symbol of Mongolian heritage. The roof's curvature mimics the shape of a saddle, supported by 46 golden columns. The complex incorporates eco-friendly features, including energy-efficient lighting and rainwater harvesting systems.[1]
