Orlagh Cassidy (born August 17, 1968) is an American actress.

Early years

Cassidy was born on August 17, 1968, in Washington, D. C.[1]

Career

Cassidy made her Broadway debut in Our Country's Good (1991). Her other Broadway credits include Garden District (1995), Present Laughter (1996), and God of Carnage (2009).[1] She portrayed Nancy Pelosi, Speaker of the House, in the play The Adult in the Room, a world premiere play directed by Heather Arnson and Conor t Bagley, which premiered in Chicago.[2]

She appeared off-Broadway in Bright Ideas at MCC; on Broadway in Our Country's Good and "Present Laughter"; regionally in Richard III" (Lady Anne) with Richard Thomas, Mark Lamos directing; and in The Misanthrope at Philadelphia Drama Guild, among other productions.

Cassidy played Sloane Walker on Another World and Doris Wolfe on Guiding Light[3] (1999–2000, 2001, 2002, 2004–2009).

She narrated the 2013 TV series Desperate Measures.

Cassidy read the audiobook An Incomplete Revenge, published by Macmillian Audio in 2008.[4]

Cassidy received a nomination for the 2007 Drama Desk Outstanding Actress in a Play for the Off-Broadway production of The Field.[5]
