Osteochilus is a genus of freshwater ray-finned fish belonging to the family Cyprinidae, the family which includes the carps, barbs, minnows and related fishes.[1] The fishes in this genus are mainly found in Southeast Asia with a few extending into adjacent parts of China.[2]
