Pam Coy is a grocer and business owner based in Reedsburg, Wisconsin. She, alongside her father and brother, own and operate a grocery store, Viking Village Foods. The family also owns several related businesses in the community including a liquor store, gas station, and restaurant, among others.[1]

Personal life
Pam Coy worked in her father's grocery business from when she was young.[2] Coy graduated from Reedsburg Area High School in 1982.[3] She went to UW-Baraboo and UW-Eau Claire for two years before coming back home to take over the grocery business.[4] Coy took over as general manager of Viking Village Foods in 1989.[2]
Career

Pam Coy is the owner and general manager of Viking Village Foods since 1989, taking over her father's business. She also owns and manages other businesses including a convenience store, car wash, and restaurant.[5][6] Under Coy's management, Viking Village Foods has expanded several times.[7][5] In 2003 she oversaw the move to a larger building, and most recently had a renovation in 2020,[8] which included adding an in-store pharmacy.[9]
The store has participated in local events and initiatives. It has hosted summer cookouts that contributed funds to local causes such as the United Fund,[10] and it has been involved in fundraising efforts for community projects, including support for a local splash pad.[11] One of their events is a competition with the Baraboo store in an annual steak sandwich drive, each store raising money for their local high school athletics.[12][7]

Awards and recognition
Pam Coy has received recognition within the grocery sector. In 2021, she was presented with the Woman Grocer of the Year Award.[13][14][15] In 2011, she was recognized with the Excellence in Operations Award by the Wisconsin Grocers Association.[16]
