History
The "Panoramic" train was introduced on 25 September 2022, at an open house event at the Surabaya Gubeng. According to Joni Martinus, Public Relations Officer of PT KAI, the panoramic train was designed to meet the needs of tourists seeking a more expansive view of Java's natural landscapes. By modifying an old executive train, the Surabaya Gubeng transformed the train's walls into glass panels.[2]
