Taxonomy

This species was described in 1979 by A.D Blest from female specimens. The holotype is stored in Otago Museum.^[1]

Description

The female is recorded at 3.80mm in length. This species has a dark brown cephalothorax, brown legs and a grey abdomen with pale markings.^[1]

Distribution

This species is only known from Stewart Island and the South Island of New Zealand.^[2][1]

Conservation status

Under the New Zealand Threat Classification System, this species is listed as "Data Deficient" with the qualifiers of "Data Poor: Size" and "Data Poor: Trend".^[3]
