Parsabad County (Persian: شهرستان پارسآباد) is in Ardabil province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Parsabad.[3]

History
In 2008, the village of Tazeh Kand-e Qadim was converted to a city[5] and later renamed Moghansar.[6] In 2012, villages were separated from Qeshlaq-e Shomali Rural District[a] of the Central District in the formation of Eslamabad District, which was divided into the new Eslamabad and Shahrak Rural Districts. At the same time, the village of Eslamabad became a city.[7]
Aslan Duz District was separated from the county in the establishment of Aslan Duz County in 2019,[8] and the village of Owltan rose to city status in 2021.[9]

Population
At the time of the 2006 National Census, the county's population was 164,576 in 34,456 households.[10] The following census in 2011 counted 173,182 people in 44,035 households.[11] The 2016 census measured the population of the county as 177,601 in 50,083 households.[4]
