Description
Pazinotus stimpsonii is a tiny deepwater marine snail that can grow up to about 15 mm in shell size. Its shell is usually elongated and features distinct spiral ridges and nodules, giving it a spiky appearance typical of the Muricidae family. The colors of this little creature can vary from pale to light brown, and sometimes even cream, which helps it blend into its deep-sea environment.
Distribution
This deepwater marine species occurs off Guadeloupe. Also from the Gulf of Mexico, along the east coast of Florida, and into the Caribbean Sea, south to Barbados.
