Peptoniphilus faecalis is a species of Gram-positive, strictly anaerobic coccus belonging to the genus Peptoniphilus. The species was first described in 2021 following its isolation from the feces of a pig in South Korea.[1]

Ecology
P. faecalis was originally isolated from the feces of healthy pigs. Related strains have also been recovered from the colonic mucosa of pigs, indicating colonization of the gastrointestinal tract.[1][2]
