Pride of the Pacific is a 1964 British radio serial by Rex Rienits about a trading schooner in the south seas.[1] "It's basically drama with lighter moments" said Rienits.[2]

Quick facts Running time, Country of origin ...

Ian Wallace wrote in his memoir that it was a "long, happy series" and "I played Tanenui, the Tahitian first mate, speaking like a retarded brother of Paul Robeson and singing each week a Tahitian song... Each episode was complete in itself and there was never a bad one."[3]

It played on Australian radio in 1966 and 1967.[4]

The success of the series led to another adventure tale written by Rienits starring Kerr, Charter Pilot.
