Radio Control 99.4FM

Radio Control 99.4FM, commonly known as Radio Control, RC or RadCon, is a New Zealand student radio station, operating from Massey University's Manawatū Campus in Palmerston North. The station primarily plays alternative music.

The station, first called Masskeradio, obtained their license in 1980, becoming the first commercial student radio station in New Zealand.^[2] The station was first broadcast from a caravan on-campus.^[3] The station operated under Radio Massey until the late 1990s.^[4]

Jeremy Corbett and Steven Joyce were presenters on the station during the 1980s. Joyce became programme manager in 1984.^[5][6]

Radio Control often partners with Palmerston North music venue The Stomach to record live music sets. Artists have included Anthonie Tonnon, Don McGlashan, and DARTZ.
