Rahain is a Pakistani television series based on Mansha Yaad's Punjabi novel Taawan Taawan Tara.[2] It was broadcast in 1998 from Pakistan Television Corporation's Lahore center. It depicts the various issues of urban and rural life such as illiteracy, injustice and intrafamily conflicts spread over generations.[3]

Synopsis

The series delas with evils of rural and urban life such as cultural conflicts, injustice, illiteracy and lack of education, conflicts within families that span over generation to generation, lawful aspects and several other social evils.[1] The plot features characters including a kabaddi player who gets lost his leg during a match, a girl who life gets ruined after leaving home, a young man who goes city to get education and a man who loves a girl but commits criminal acts later.[4]
