Riyon Tori (桃李 理永, Tori Riyon; born 25 September 2001) is a Japanese professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for MLS Next Pro club Orlando City B, the reserve affiliate of Major League Soccer club Orlando City.

Tori was part of the academy of Cerezo Osaka and played for the club's U-23 side in the J3 League in 2019.[1]
College career
On 4 February 2020, Tori joined the football team of Kwansei Gakuin University from Cerezo Osaka's U-18 team.[2][3]
In early October 2021, Tori joined the soccer team of St. John's University as a sophomore.[1] On 9 October, Tori made his collegiate debut when he came on as a substitute for Ryan Dougherty in a 1–0 win over the Villanova Wildcats.[4] In his first season with the Red Storm, Tori made six appearances.[1]
In Tori's second season, he only made two appearances for the Red Storm.[1]
Tori transferred to the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and joined the school's soccer team as a junior in 2023.[5] On 13 August, Tori debuted for the team in a 1–0 victory over the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers in which he contributed an assist to the game-winning goal by Natsuki Ogata.[6] On 11 September, Tori scored his first and only collegiate goal, the third of a 3–1 win over the Florida Atlantic Owls.[7] Tori and the Charlotte 49ers made it to the final of the American Athletic Conference and played against the number one-seeded SMU Mustangs and won 2–1, securing the third title in the competition in the school's history.[8] In total, Tori made 18 appearances in which he contributed one goal and two assists.[5] On 19 December, Tori was selected by Major League Soccer club Orlando City in the 2024 MLS SuperDraft as the 83rd pick in the third round.[9]
On 29 January 2024, it was announced by the Charlotte 49ers that Tori would be returning to the school for his senior year with Tori citing his desire to defend the championship and to finish his degree in criminal justice for his decision.[10] By returning to school after being drafted, Tori forfeited his future draft availability, but Orlando City retained Tori's MLS rights until 31 December 2025.[11] Tori and the team once again made it to the final of the American Athletic Conference, once again winning 2–1, this time against number five-seeded FIU Panthers.[12] In his final season in college Tori made 10 more appearances, but he did not contribute any goals or assists.[5]

Club career
Cerezo Osaka U-23
Tori joined J3 League club Cerezo Osaka U-23, the reserve team of J1 League club Cerezo Osaka in 2019 after playing for the team's academy.[1] On 10 March, Tori made his senior debut when he came on as a 93rd-minute substitute for Nagi Matsumoto in a 2–1 win over Azul Claro Numazu.[13] In Tori's first season of professional football he made 16 appearances.[14]
Orlando City B
On 27 February 2025, Tori signed with MLS Next Pro club Orlando City B, the reserve affiliate of Major League Soccer club Orlando City.[15] On 5 April, Tori made his debut with the club when he was substituted on in the 70th-minute for Dyson Clapier in a 2–0 loss at Chattanooga FC.[16][17]

On 19 April 2025, Tori signed a short-term agreement with Orlando City which would make him available for a match at CF Montréal, but he would be an unused substitute.[18]
