Ruzsky District (Russian: Ру́зский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[3] district (raion), one of the thirty-six in Moscow Oblast, Russia. It is located in the west of the oblast. The area of the district is 1,567.56 square kilometers (605.24 sq mi).[3] Its administrative center is the town of Ruza.[1] Population: 61,673 (2010 Census);[4] 63,685(2002 Census);[8] 67,533(1989 Soviet census).[9] The population of Ruza accounts for 21.9% of the district's total population.[4]
