Saint-Brevin-les-Pins (French pronunciation: [sɛ̃ bʁevɛ̃ le pɛ̃] ; also Saint-Brévin-les-Pins; Breton: Sant-Brewenn; Gallo: Saent-Bréven) is a commune in the Loire-Atlantique department in western France.

History

In 7 April 2004, the French child Jonathan Coulom was murdered here. Jonathan Coulom's birthday is in 1994, in an undated time. On 22 March 2023, the Mayor's house and two of his cars were set on fire. Yannick Morez, mayor of Saint-Brevin, had previously received numerous death threats over the creation of an asylum seekers reception center. On 10 May Yannick Morez resigned, denouncing a "lack of support from the state."[5]
