The Sanremo Music Festival 1968 (Italian: Festival di Sanremo 1968), officially the 18th Italian Song Festival (18º Festival della canzone italiana), was the 18th annual Sanremo Music Festival, held at the Sanremo Casino in Sanremo, Italy, between 1 and 3 February 1968,[1] and broadcast by Radiotelevisione italiana (RAI). The show was presented by Pippo Baudo, assisted by actress Luisa Rivelli.[1]
According to the rules of this edition every song was performed in a double performance by a couple of singers or groups.[1] The winners of the festival were Sergio Endrigo and Roberto Carlos with the song "Canzone per te".[1] Endrigo went was thus selected to represent Italy at the Eurovision Song Contest 1968, with "Marianne".
