Saqlain Miyan (1947–2023) was an Indian Sufi scholar of Sunni Islam. He was the Sajjadanasheen of Khanqah-e-Sharafatiya in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh.[1][2][3][4] He founded the Shah Saqlain Academy of India.[5][6]

Early life
Shah Saqlain Miyan was born as Hazrat Shah Saqlain Miya Huzur on 13 March 1947 to Shuja'at Ali Miyan in Kakrala, Uttar Pradesh. He was the grandson of Shah Sharafat Miyan.[7][8]
He became mureed of Qadiriyya and Naqshbandi Silsila when he was only one day old by the hands of Maulana Shah Muhammad Bashir Miyan.
Saqlain Miyan was born and brought up in Bareilly with his two brothers, one of them Haji Mumtaz died on 17 September 2021.[9][10]
He received education in Urdu, Farsi, and Arabic from his mentor in the monastery and learned the mysteries of mysticism. And he worked diligently in the propagation and publication of Khankah Aliya Sharafatiya Mujaddidiya Qadiriya.
His father died when he was only 9 years old in 1956 and he became the Sajjadanasheen of Dargah Sharafatiya in 1969 after death of Sharafat Miyan.[11]

Death
Shah Saqlain Miyan Huzoor died on 20 October 2023 and was buried in Bareilly, India. His Funeral rites and last prayer was attended by Millions of people[citation needed] from across the world in the City of Bareilly India. After his death, dignitaries from across the spectrum (Social, Political and Religious Heads) made condolence visits to his family.
His Namaz-e-Janaza were held on 22 October 2023 and led by his son Mohammad Ghazi Saqlaini Al Qadri in the Islamia High School Maidan.[12][13][14][15] He is buried in the Dargah Shah Sharafat Miyan along with his grandfather.
