Plot

Production

Sarkeet was officially announced in early 2025, with a planned theatrical release originally set for April 2025.[9] Due to post-production delays and to avoid clashes with other major Malayalam releases, the release date was postponed to 8 May 2025.[10] The film was distributed by Ajith Vinayaka Release across Kerala and selected Gulf countries with significant Malayali populations.[11]

Sarkeet was released in theatres on 8 May 2025. On its opening day, the film grossed approximately ₹41 lakhs worldwide, with ₹37 lakhs collected from the Indian box office.[26] On the second day, the film showed a slight drop in collections, earning ₹32 lakhs, making the two-day total ₹77 lakhs.[27] By the end of its first weekend, the film grossed close to ₹1.15 crore globally.[28] As of 19 May 2025, the film grossed ₹2.15 crore from Kerala box office.[2]
