Sarocha Chankimha (Thai: สโรชา จันทร์กิมฮะ; born 8 August 1998), more commonly known by her nickname Freen (Thai: ฟรีน), is a Thai actress, model, and singer.[1] Freen began her acting career in 2021 with the drama series So Fit. She received recognition for her breakthrough role as "Khun Sam" in the Thai GL series Gap: The Series (2022). In 2024, she began her film career with back-to-back starring roles in the science fiction romance Uranus 2324 and the horror comedy Rider.

Early life and education
Freen was born on 8 August 1998 in Bangkok, Thailand, and is the only child in a Buddhist family.
Freen attended High School at La Salle School Bangkok. For her post-secondary education, she graduated from the College of Communication Arts at Rangsit University, with a bachelor's degree in Public Relations and Corporate Communication.[2] She had a strong inclination towards a career in the corporate sector.[3] She was also awarded First Class Honours for her academic achievement.

Career
In 2016, Freen competed in Miss Teen Thailand [4]and was one of 15 finalists, receiving an award.[5] During the contest she was given the opportunity to be the host of Miss Teen Thai and Girl Daily program.[6]
After completing her graduate degree, she decided to pursue her career in the Thai entertainment industry so she started auditioning at various talent agencies and finally signed a contract with Idol Factory. Her first acting break was in the music video "Before Rain" by Thai recording artist The Toys. In 2020 she guest starred in the TV show Sosat Seoulsay.
She made her acting debut in the Thai drama industry in 2021 with the romantic-comedy drama So Fit as Bing, the female lead.[7][8]
In 2022 she played a supporting role in Secret Crush on You.[9][10] In the same year, Chankimha she played Sam in Thailand's first Girls' Love series Gap,[11] which surpassed 900 million views on YouTube.[12] She received international attention and her and her on-screen partner Rebecca Patricia Armstrong, became known as "FreenBecky".[13][14][15] She also sang several songs for Gap: The Series OST, including "Whisper".[16]

Freen regularly appears on the covers of prominent fashion magazines such as GQ, L'Officiel, Elle, Harper's Bazaar, and Vogue in Thailand and Internationally. She ranked among the top influencers in Lefty's EMV report during the 2024 Cannes Film Festival, coming in at 6th in the "Top Influencers Across Categories on Instagram" list with a whopping 4.7M in EMV. She achieved this through collaborations with three luxury brands: Ferragamo, Chopard, and Burberry. She ranked 2nd for Engagement Rate on Instagram garnering 34.9%.
She starred in the romantic sci-fi film Uranus 2324, the romantic period drama The Loyal Pin, and the movie Rider.
In September 2024, Freen made her debut at Paris Fashion Week SS25 with Valentino. She earned $4.9M in EMV, accounting for approximately 25% of Valentino's total $19M, making her the brand's top contributor. According to Launchmetrics,[19] Freen ranked first in per post MIV during Paris Fashion Week SS25 for her appearance in the front row of Valentino Spring/Summer Runway Show. She generated $5.9 million in Media Impact Value (MIV) across 4 placements, including $1.5 million from a single post.[20][21]
In October 2024, she attended the premiere of “Very Ralph” event in Shanghai, China by Ralph Lauren.
In December 2024, Freen attended the Red Sea International Film Festival in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, earning high praise from fashion critics for her red carpet looks.[22] She wore Zuhair Murad Fall 2024 to the 'Moon' premiere and Giambattista Valli to the closing ceremony, earning her the title of 'Breakout Star 2024' from RCFA. In January 4, 2025, Sarocha was appointed as Brand Ambassador for Valentino.[24][25][26][27]

On March 1, 2025, Freen made her international runway debut during the 40th Mynavi Tokyo Girls Collection 2025 Spring / Summer with Japan luxury fashion company Darich for the presentation of the Spring/Summer 2025 collection company. She is the First Thai actress to walk the runway at Japan.
On March 9, 2025 Dazzling fushion of Italian couture and Southeast Asian star power brand Valentino announced that Sarocha will make an appearance at the Valentino’s fall/winter 2025 show in Paris. Her reportedly contributed $4.9 million in EMV to the brand and According to data and technology company Launchmetrix, his attendance generated $1.8 million in MIV for the brand.
Valentino’s AW25 show surged in Instagram visibility at Paris Fashion Week, with a 261% EMV increase from SS25, fueled by strategic partnerships with Thai celebrities. Freen Sarocha accounted for 21% of the brand’s total EMV, reinforcing the impact of well-chosen influencers in driving engagement and brand exposure.

On May 6, 2025, Freen made history by becoming the first Thai actress to attend the Met Gala. She was the top ranked influencer for Valentino contributing $13.7M EMV. She ranked 7th in the "Top Celebrities" list earning $7.13M EMV and her engagement rate of 33.9% marked the highest amongst all attendees. She ranks 2nd among total MIV of $36.5.M created for Valentino and comes 2nd calculated by Average MIV with $19.5M.
