Remove ads
Satti is a Pahari tribe found in the Kotli Sattian Tehsil of Murree district; the Kahuta Tehsil of Rawalpindi district; and other adjoining areas of Punjab in Pakistan. The Satti tribe is historically linked to the exiled prince of the Sasanian Empire, who sought refuge in India. Members of this tribe are predominantly found in the Murree region, Kashmir, and Kotli Sattian in northern Pakistan.
Notably, one of the prominent figures from the Satti tribe is Akhtar Nawaz Satti, who has achieved significant success and is currently serving as the Chairman of the Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) in Pakistan. His appointment reflects the tribe's potential for leadership and influence in modern governance.[1]
