Selenipedium dodsonii

Selenipedium dodsonii is a species of flowering plant in the orchid family native to Ecuador,^[2] where it grows near rivers in rainforest.^[1] It was first described in 2015,^[3] and is named after Calaway Dodson. Selenipedium dodsonii is an endangered species,^[1] and is listed in Annex II to the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES).^[4] Plants grow up to 3 m (9.8 ft) tall, and between April and November produce small flowers.^[5]
