Signal-recognition-particle GTPase (EC 3.6.5.4) is an enzyme with systematic name GTP phosphohydrolase (protein-synthesis-assisting).^[1][2][3][4] This enzyme catalyses the following chemical reaction

GTP + H₂O ${\displaystyle \rightleftharpoons }$ GDP + phosphate
