Silvia Saunders (born 25 December 1990) is a British-Italian novelist who has spoken about her identity being a blend of both her English and Italian upbringing. She published her debut novel, Homesick, in 2025.

Early life and education
Saunders was born 25 December 1990,[1][non-primary source needed] to an Italian mother from San Donaci and an English father and grew up in Nuneaton, Warwickshire.[2][non-primary source needed] Saunders graduated from the University of Nottingham[3][failed verification] and completed a Master of Arts (MA) at Goldsmiths, University of London.[4]
Career
In her novel and journalism, Saunders explores the difficulties of house sharing, suggesting that it can be easier to share a house with strangers than with friends.[5][non-primary source needed]
In 2023, Saunders won the Comedy Women in Print Prize for Unpublished Comedy Novel for her 2025 debut, Homesick.[6][non-tertiary source needed] She returned two years later as a judge for the Self-Published category.[7]
Homesick was published August 28, 2025, by HarperCollins. Prior to release, Cosmopolitan named the novel among "the 25 books [they] can't wait to read in 2025".[8]
