Soniya Akula

Soniya Akula is an Indian actress who appears in Telugu-language films. She made her film debut in 2019 with a role in George Reddy.^[1][2]

In 2024 she participated in Bigg Boss Season 8 Telugu and was evicted on Day 28.^[3][4] Her name is also transcribed Sonia Akula.

Early life

Soniya Akula was born in the village of Gajulpally, Manthani Mandal (Peddapalli district, Telangana)^[5][6] and grew up in Agra.^[7] She completed her B.Tech. from Bhojreddy Engineering College in Hyderabad.^[8][9][10]

Career

Soniya started her career as an actress in 2019 with the film George Reddy, where she played the role of the titular character's sister. In 2020 she played the role of Shanthi in Ram Gopal Varma's Telugu film Coronavirus. In 2022 she was seen in Ananda Chandra's Aasha Encounter, in which she played the lead role of Aasha.^[11] In 2025 she had a new lead role as Surekha in Artiste.^[12]
