History

Formed in 1992, Sorry About Your Daughter's sound is a blend of alternative rock and post-hardcore. They were inspired by DC bands including Jawbox and Shudder to Think. Singer Glenn Hall said Fugazi's Ian MacKaye was his mentor.[1]

The band toured heavily on US college campuses in the middle of the decade. They independently released "Aquarium Center" before signing to the German label Edel.[2] They subsequently toured Europe and released their second full-length album, "Face," accompanied by promotional videos for tracks like “You Gave Up” and “Scapegoat," which appeared on MTV Europe and Much Music.

After disbanding in 1997, members pursued individual musical paths. Guitarist Jeff Aug went on to record as a solo instrumentalist and began performing with British spoken word and electronic artist Anne Clark.[3] Drummer Karl Hill played with John Stabb's post-hardcore project, The Factory Incident,[4] and later joined a reformed version of Government Issue.[5]
