Production
In September 2024, Parker and Stone stated that season 27 would not air until 2025, reasoning that they wanted to skip on parodying Donald Trump and the 2024 United States presidential election.[5][6] However, the plot of the first episode "Sermon on the 'Mount" featured a parody of Trump, which continued to be a through line in its follow-up episode, "Got a Nut".
The season was originally scheduled to debut on July 9, 2025;[7] however, a new press release from Comedy Central announced the delay of the season until July 23, 2025.[2]
