Stephen Warner Dunwell (April 3, 1913 – March 21, 1994) was an American computer engineer, known best for his role leading the team developing the IBM 7030 Stretch supercomputer at IBM.[1][2] He was honored with an IBM Fellow in 1966,[3] a Computer Pioneer Award in 1992,[4][5] and was named an ACM Fellow in 1994.[6] He died of cancer.[7]
