History
Storefriendly was started by Kevin Chan in 2002 with its fully self-owned storage facility, "Storefriendly Centre", in Singapore. Johansen and Chan started the Singapore expansion in 2011 with the first branch in Bukit Batok.[7][8][9] SingPost acquired the company in 2015. Storefriendly subsequently relaunched in 2019 with its flagship branch in Paya Lebar.[7][10][11]
In 2021, the company opened the Storefriendly Tower in Kwun Tong, Hong Kong.[12] This was a self owned facility and notably included robotic storage,[13] AI-powered facilities[14][15] among other digital focused technologies.[4][16][17]
The company launched the film "Make Space for the Future" with an AI-generated music track.[18][19]
The company is a member of the Self Storage Association Asia (SSAA).[20]
