Subaru and Subaru (昴と彗星, Subaru to Subaru) is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Shuichi Shigeno, known for his previous works Initial D and its sequel MF Ghost. The series was first published in Kodansha's Weekly Young Magazine on July 22, 2025 and it is a direct sequel to MF Ghost.

Plot
Subaru and Subaru tells the story of how a young man, Kudo Subaru, appears before the troubled Ogata and Aiba, and then a young female driver, Sato Subaru, meets Bunta, and their fate begins to move. The story depicts the "true legend of the fastest car on the road" of two people who inherited the spirit of "fastest car on the road" from Gunma and Kanagawa.[1]
Publication
Subaru and Subaru is written and illustrated by Shuichi Shigeno, who previously authored the racing manga series Initial D and its sequel MF Ghost. The manga was announced as the spiritual and narrative continuation of those series and began serialization in Weekly Young Magazine on July 22, 2025, published by Kodansha.[2]
