Sunny Kumar Singh is an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of the 2018 batch, belonging to the Arunachal Pradesh-Goa-Mizoram and Union Territory (AGMUT) cadre.[1]

Early life and education
Singh holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in mechanical engineering from Delhi College of Engineering, University of Delhi. He joined the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) in the 2018 batch.[3]

Perspective
Singh has held a series of administrative and leadership positions across multiple districts and states. He served as Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) in Miao, Arunachal Pradesh, where he led the district headquarters for a period of two years.[4]
In May 2022, he was appointed Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Changlang District, overseeing administrative and developmental initiatives. Subsequently, as DC of Kra Daadi District, Singh focused on community-oriented projects and infrastructure. His tenure in Kra Daadi concluded with a formal farewell event at Nyokum Hall, Palin.[5][6][7]
In September 2024, Singh was transferred to New Delhi, where he assumed the roles of District Magistrate and Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to the Chief Secretary for the Government of NCT of Delhi, officially taking charge on October 18, 2024. [8]
During the 2025 Assembly Elections, he reported concerns regarding alleged political pressure from senior leaders of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) related to the electoral roll. In response, Singh filed a complaint with the Election Commission and requested guidance on the matter.[9] [10][11]
Singh also served as the Excise Commissioner of Delhi from February 2025 to May 2025.[12]
