Switzerland is an upcoming black-and-white thriller film directed by Anton Corbijn and written by Joanna Murray-Smith, based on her 2014 play of the same name. It stars Helen Mirren, Alden Ehrenreich and Olivia Cooke.

Premise
A young man travels from New York to Switzerland to try and persuade acclaimed thriller writer Patricia Highsmith to write one final installment of her Tom Ripley series, with his efforts gradually turning more sinister.[1][2]

Production
It was announced in April 2023 that Helen Mirren was set to star in the film, with Anton Corbijn serving as director.[3] In March 2024, Alden Ehrenreich joined the cast,[4] with Olivia Cooke and Juliet Stevenson added in January 2025.[5][6]
Filming began in Rome in January 2025, with production also due to occur in London and Switzerland.[7]
