Reception
According to the review aggregator Metacritic, The Future Never Waits received "generally favorable reviews" based on a weighted average score of 80 out of 100 from 5 critic scores.[1] Editors at AllMusic rated this album 3.5 out of 5 stars, with critic Thom Jurek writing that Hawwkind co-founder Dave Brock "shows no sign of slowing down" and this album "is, at once, more exciting and musically adventurous—even with the (minor) missteps" and "a significant late-career highlight from Hawkwind.".[2] Writing at Louder Than War, Paul Clarke stated that there "is plenty to enjoy" for both new and old listeners and the music is "equally impressive is the ambition and range of styles explored".[3]
