Timothy Pleydell-Bouverie (born June 1987) is a British historian and former political journalist at Channel 4 News.[1]

Early life and education
Bouverie was educated at Bryanston School before going to Christ Church, Oxford, to read history.[2][3]
Career
Between 2013 and 2017, Bouverie was a political journalist at Channel 4 News, working first for the television programme Dispatches and later as a producer for Michael Crick.[4][5]
His first book, Appeasing Hitler: Chamberlain, Churchill and the Road to War, was published by Bodley Head in April 2019.[6][7][8] A Sunday Times bestseller, it was described by Antony Beevor as an "astonishingly accomplished debut".[9][10] A second book, Allies at War: The Politics of Defeating Hitler, was published in 2025 and was called "revelatory" by Adam Sisman, writing in The Guardian.[11]
