College
He began his career at Weatherford College in Texas, where he was named Northern Texas Junior College Athletic Conference Freshman of the Year in 2013–14 and earned First Team honors in both of his seasons. Over two years, he scored 925 points and collected 416 rebounds, averaging 16.3 points and 7.3 rebounds per game, with 48 double-digit scoring efforts and three 30-point games.
Vuko transferred to the University of the Pacific, where he played from 2015 to 2017. As a junior in 2015–16, he appeared in all 28 games with 26 starts, averaging 5.8 points and 3.3 rebounds in 21.5 minutes per game, and recorded a career-high 21 points and 11 rebounds in a win over UW-Green Bay. As a senior, he averaged 3.8 points and 4.4 rebounds in 22 games, shooting 53% from the field and 75% from the free-throw line. He received West Coast Conference All-Academic honorable mention honors with a 3.22 GPA in Health, Exercise and Sport Science.[1].
Professional
After graduating, Vuko signed his first professional contract with KK Alkar in the Croatian First League. Although the team narrowly missed the playoffs, he was considered one of Alkar’s top performers. In 21 games, he averaged 13.2 points and 6.7 rebounds per game, leading the team in rebounding.[citation needed]
In the summer of 2018, Vuko joined Alkar’s rivals, Šibenik.[2] In 43 total games, he averaged 11.2 points and 7.2 rebounds per game. In his first season, he led the team in rebounds and ranked fourth in the entire league for rebounding.[3]. Šibenik reached the quarterfinals that season and stood 5th in the standings in 2019–20 before the league was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.[citation needed]
