Tretyakovsky District

Tretyakovsky District (Russian: Третьяко́вский райо́н) is an administrative^[1] and municipal^[4] district (raion), one of the fifty-nine in Altai Krai, Russia. It is located in the south of the krai. The area of the district is 1,998 square kilometers (771 sq mi).^[2] Its administrative center is the rural locality (a selo) of Staroaleyskoye.^[1] Population: 14,197 (2010 Census);^[3] 16,787 (2002 Census);^[6] 15,408 (1989 Soviet census).^[7] The population of Staroaleyskoye accounts for 33.6% of the district's total population.^[3]
