Uvinsky District (Russian: Уви́нский райо́н; Udmurt: Ува ёрос, Uva joros) is an administrative[1] and municipal[7] district (raion), one of the twenty-five in the Udmurt Republic, Russia. It is located in the southwestern central part of the republic. The area of the district is 2,445.4 square kilometers (944.2 sq mi).[3] Its administrative center is the rural locality (a settlement) of Uva.[2] Population: 39,671 (2010 Census);[4] 40,738 (2002 Census);[9]
40,876 (1989 Soviet census).[10] The population of Uva accounts for 50.4% of the district's total population.[4]
