The vice president of Syria (Arabic: نائب رئيس سوريا, romanized: Nayib Raʾīs Sūriyā), officially the vice president of the Syrian Arab Republic, is a political position in Syria. The Constitution of Syria states that in the case of the president's temporary disablement, the vice president may become acting president.[1] Multiple people can hold the office of vice president at the same time. The president of Syria appoints vice presidents.[2]

  • The President of the Republic appoints one or more vice presidents.
  • The President determines their powers, dismisses them, and accepts their resignations.
  • If the presidency becomes vacant, the vice president assumes the President’s powers.
