History
Witness was the first newspaper published in Walcha in 1889 founded by Mr. F. Erle Lewis ("Blue") Hogan managed and edited The Walcha News from 1950-1977.[2]
Digitisation
The paper has been digitised as part of the Australian Newspapers Digitisation Program of the National Library of Australia.[4]
